Pictures are from TisuuT'ina Nation Rodeo and Pow Wow in Redwood Meadows, Alberta, Canada, July 27, 2024.
This was a one of a kind event celebrating First Nation culture.
The event gathered representatives from First Nation tribes all over the Americas. It was a lot of dances, music, and speeches. Even free gifts were given out. I ended with a set of cups and some bug spray as an observer.
Around the main event place, there was a Native American craft market and food court. At the craft market one was able to buy moccasins, traditional dresses, blankets, and native jewelry. The food court featured trailers offering fast food such as burgers, fries, ice-cream and lemonade.
In another area, rodeo lovers could watch First Nation Americans competing in Rodeo disciplines.
